How to choose fasteners?

Fasteners include: bolts, studs, bolts, nuts, washers and pins. Lock or killed often occurred in stainless steel, aluminum alloy and titanium alloy materials fasteners, the metal alloy is anti-corrosion performance, the surface damage, produce a thin layer of metal surface in the oxide layer to prevent further corrosion. When the stainless steel fastener is locked, the pressure and heat generated between the tooth lines can damage the oxide layer, blocking or shearing the metal threads, causing the phenomenon of adhesion. When this continues, the stainless steel fasteners will be completely locked and can no longer be removed or locked.

1. Choose products correctly.

A. Before use, confirm whether the mechanical properties of the product can meet the requirements of use, such as the tensile strength of screws and the guaranteed load of nuts. The length of the screw should be chosen properly, and the nut 1-2 should be taken after tightening.

B. Check whether the thread is rough before use, and whether there is iron or dirt between the threads, which often leads to locking.

C. Before use, you can lubricate the fasteners. It is recommended to use butter, molybdenum disulfide, mica, graphite or talc powder to lubricate, and generally use the wax treatment to lubricate and prevent locking.

Pay attention to use when using.

A. The speed force should be appropriate, not too fast, and use torque wrench or socket wrench as far as possible to avoid using the adjustable spanner or electric wrench. Too fast speed can cause the temperature to rise rapidly and lead to lock death.

B. In the direction of the force, the nut must be rotated perpendicular to the axis of the screw.

C. The use of gaskets effectively prevents overlocking problems.
